PHOTO Melting glacier forms crying woman’s face – or is that Michael Jackson?

No, this isn’t a Salvador Dali painting. It’s an ice cap located on Nordaustlandet in the Svalbard archipelago in Norway. Marine photographer and environmental lecturer Michael Nolan captured the image of the melting glacier, which looks like a woman’s face crying. Is that Mother Nature? The Virgin Mary? Jennifer Aniston?

I think if you enhance the photo enough you
will find Al Gore up there with a salt shaker.

UPDATE 8/3/09 – It seems there is a good deal of controversy on the interwebs as to whether this photo is a fake or not. Though I don’t think our server could handle me posting up the full-sized image, I will offer this cropped portion in its original scale. Just click the photo to zoom in and if it fills your screen horizontally or vertically you can click it again in the lower right corner for the full size. If there are photoshop buffs out there that need something more just let me know and I will help if I can. The truth must be known! (I didn’t see Al Gore.)

I got a few comments all in a row that suggested the face looks like Michael Jackson. I stared at it for a while, looked at some photos of Michael, stared at it some more…and the verdict is…Holy Crap! It looks like Michael Jackson! I’m gonna go change the title of this post.
